Being somewhat of a do-it-yourselfer, I set out to make a bird launcher. Easy to use, safe and reliable were the cornerstones of my project. The frame design just popped into my head but the trigger mechanism took months of trial and error. What I came up with was an ultra safe and strong trigger mechanism that pops a primer and is activated either remotely or manually. After about a year of R&D, I was finally satisfied with the product and The Slinger was born. Due to its simplicity and low overhead costs I'm able to keep the costs down so hopefully more people are able to afford and enjoy successful retriever training.
